Susann Ahn

Professor
Susann Ahn is a landscape architect, urban planner, and licensed mediator. She obtained her diploma from the Technical University of Munich and her doctorate from the ETH Zurich. She is the founder of Ahn Landscape Mediation, a planning office specializing in the intersection of landscape architecture and communication. Additionally, she is a partner at adribo Conflict Management. In her research, teaching, and practice, she focuses on the connection between landscape architecture and communication, particularly on participatory, conflict resolution, and co-creative methods to promote integrated planning and design processes. In addition to her academic work, publications, and design activities, she serves as an expert in public workshops, juries, and committees.
Since 2021, she has been co-heading the Chair of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning at the Institute for Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Design at the Vienna University of Technology, along with Thomas E. Hauck.
