Norbert Trolf is a landscape architect and landscape planner. After studying at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna, he worked for several years in various planning offices in the fields of landscape architecture, landscape planning and urban development in the Netherlands. Norbert Trolf has been a freelance landscape architect in Vienna since 1998 and founded the engineering office for landscape in 2007. Norbert Trolf has been active in research and teaching since 1999. He completed his doctorate at Vienna University of Technology and was awarded the Rudolph Wurzer Prize for Spatial Planning for his work in 2010. His research and teaching focus on open space planning, the quality and design of open spaces at different scales and in different contexts, as well as issues relating to the development and safeguarding of urban open spaces. Norbert Trolf has been Dean of Studies for Architecture and Building Science since 2023.
