Bianca Pfanner is a graduate of the Bachelor's and Master's programs in Spatial Planning and Regional Development at TU Wien. Throughout her studies, she was able to showcase her interests in green and open space planning, as demonstrated in her master's thesis titled "Urban green and blue infrastructure in the road network as a means of climate change adaptation." During her academic journey, she served as a tutor and research assistant in various research areas at TU Wien.
From 2019 to 2021, Bianca Pfanner worked at the Office for Sustainable Competence, and since 2021, she has been contributing as a university assistant to the team at the Research Unit Landscape. In both research and teaching, her focus revolves around topics such as urban climate, climate change adaptation, green-blue infrastructures, landscape planning, and spatial development planning at different levels.
Her dissertation delves into climate-adapted urban and open space structures inspired by cities with similar climates, referred to as "Climate Twins." The aim is to contribute to the urgent question of transforming existing structures to meet the challenges of climate change.
