Stadt und Landschaft. Planungs- und Interventionspraxis
After successful completion of the course, students are able to understand and reflect on complex topics of landscape and open space planning in urban areas - in the summer semester 2024 focus on street space. They will be able to present strategic considerations in textual and planning terms and develop designs on the topic. Students will be able to use temporary structural interventions with a special focus on shading in public street spaces as part of their planning and architectural repertoire. They will be able to translate long-term change processes into short-term measures and develop context-related ideas for local challenges in dialogue with affected stakeholders. The elective module also aims to emphasise the usability of student work and efforts with local, non-university stakeholders.
The module consists of several courses. The core course of elective module 3: City and Landscape is TikTak Galilei (260.715 PR), which is coupled with the supplementary courses Excursion (260.735 EX) and Planning Practical Discourse (260.855 VU). As further specialization, the seminar City and Landscape in Climate Change (260.716 SE) takes place. With this offering of 4 courses, there is an optimal opportunity to attend the entire elective module with a scope of 18 ECTS in one semester, thus setting a thematic focus in the master's program.
