A Huus für d'Lüt
Introduction of the 1:1 project - Lustenau
Opening ceremony
On the 20th of June, the Huus für d'Lüt was officially handed over to the municipality and open child and youth work of Lustenau and officially opened.
19 architecture and spatial planning students spent a semester developing a central meadow in the town centre into an inclusive place for Lustenau and implemented it 1:1 in a 14-day building workshop. They collected and integrated the wishes and ideas of young people on site in various participation formats. The question was what young people need in order to feel welcome and comfortable in public spaces and how it can be possible to bring them back into the centre and thus transform frequent displacement into togetherness.
The project was supervised by the Landscape and Local Spatial Planning research departments in cooperation with Raumpioniere - Agentur für StadtmacherInnen.
