At the Institute of Urban Design, Landscape Architecture and Design, within the Research Unit of Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning, a position as a Student Assistant in Research and Administration is available, expected to start in September 2026 (15 hours per week) with the following responsibilities. The position is limited to 4 years, but no longer than the completion of the applicant’s Master’s or Diploma studies.
Your Responsibilities:
Active participation in the preparation and implementation of teaching and research projects
Administrative support in teaching and student supervision
Organizational support in the management of practical courses and exercises
Assistance with research projects (graphics and research tasks)
Support with organizational and administrative duties
Maintenance of the website
Liaison with TU IT services
Network administration
Your Profile:
Enrollment in a relevant degree program in Spatial Planning or Architecture; applicants must not have completed a Master’s or Diploma degree in these fields
Very good computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, Microsoft Office, etc.)
Preferably IT skills
Strong interest and basic knowledge in the integration of landscape planning, open-space planning, and landscape architecture (e.g., through participation in projects and courses within the research unit)
Good knowledge of and enthusiasm for courses in landscape architecture and landscape planning
Graphic design talent (experience preparing data for publications and presentations is an advantage)
Experience creating and maintaining websites is an advantage
Accuracy and a structured working style
Enjoyment of organizational tasks
Teamwork and communication skills
Reliability and ability to work independently
Excellent written and spoken German and English
