Student assistant position
15h/week, limited to 4 years
The Vienna University of Technology (TU Wien) is Austria’s largest research and educational institution in the field of technology and natural sciences. At the Institute of Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, and Design, within the Research Area for Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning, a position as a Student Assistant in Research and Administration is expected to be filled starting February 2025(15 hours per week). This position is expected to be limited to 4 years, but no longer than until the completion of the master’s or diploma program.
Your Responsibilities:
• Active participation in the preparation and implementation of projects
• Administrative support in teaching and assisting students
• Organizational assistance with managing exercises
• Support with organizational and administrative tasks related to teaching
• Assisting with maintaining the webpage
Your Profile:
• Enrollment in a relevant field of study such as urban planning or architecture; no completed master’s or diploma degree in the field
• Excellent computer skills (Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, Microsoft Office, etc.)
• Strong interest and basic knowledge in the connection of landscape planning, open space planning, and landscape architecture (e.g., through participation in projects and courses in the research area)
• Good knowledge and enthusiasm for the content of courses in the field of landscape architecture and landscape planning
• Graphic talent (experience in data preparation for publications and presentations is advantageous)
• Experience in creating and maintaining webpages is advantageous
• Accuracy and organizational skills
• Enjoyment of organizational activities
• Team and communication skills
• Reliability and high level of independence
• Excellent German and English language skills, both spoken and written
