Urban Wilderness

The course illuminates the cultural-historical dimension of a current discussion about (urban) wilderness. This is done in the first block of the elective seminar with a focus on modernity. In the second block, current projects (Gleisdreieckpark, Berlin; Alter Flugplatz, Frankfurt; etc.) will be analysed and discussed with a view to the questions from the first block. In the third block, the findings from the first two blocks will be translated into a concept for a city in the student's own home town.
