Spatial Planning and Urban Design
Design training for working on complex urban development tasks. Course content relates to: developing a spatial planning design concept and in-depth treatment of selected issues and key areas; developing thematic concepts (buildings, non-built-up and green spaces, transport) at different scales and producing a synthetic view in a detailed urban design master plan; presenting the design in a physical building model. Working in assisted design groups, students will have the opportunity for an in-depth approach to the design task. Skills to be imparted include the ability to develop and translate spatial ideas and plans into visual designs.
