Fokus Raumplanung – Intersektionale Raumaneignung
The university space is permeated by power, power relations, and norms. The course deals with intersectional appropriation of space and seeks creative possibilities for reorganization. The focus is on the possibilities of self-determined production of an intersectional, social space. The course is divided into three phases:
Basics and research: Research/visit existing locations/projects and prepare/process literature
Spatial analysis and idea development
Implement/carry out interventions
Students will work in groups to search for clues at the TU and plan a project in the form of an action, a performance, or another form of intervention in space. The space should be used, played with, or redesigned in such a way that it corresponds to intersectional planning. Actions that actively point out injustice in space are also possible. The goal is to appropriate space!
The following topics will be covered in workshops (1.5 hours organized by the peer group, 2 basic texts for all participants by Annalisa and Petra, collecting additional material, mapping, organizing and documenting the workshop):
• Spatial structures and spatial feelings
• Power
• Thresholds
• Territory
• Visibility
